After the success of last years week long breakfast morning bonanza at Isleworth, we are all set to repeat the event again this year in march. Only in march this year due to the early fall of Good Friday.
All our preparations thus far are looking promising with special offers from the attending Manufacturers, and displays from a dozen and more companies during the week long event.

Last year we were giving away a special mountain bike to one lucky customer, and we are making preparations to make the same offer again this year and maybe more.

x Quick Note: Christmassy All Over

x

We would like to take this opportunity to once again thank all our customers for another prosperous year. We have had this year some of the usual challenges with the likes of competition from the stores, price increases due to the activities of the Chinese economy, and who'll forget the complete nationwide stock shortage of fence panels, and next year will certainly bring it own challenges. So bring on the new year and we hope you will all be joining us to face these challenges once again.

For your information our opening times over Christmas are as follows.

Closed - 24th to 26th Dec.
Open - 27th to 29th Dec.
Closed - 31st Dec to 1st Jan.
Reopen - 2nd Jan 2008

Thank you very much
Happy Christmas

Some of you may have already noticed the installation of a large screen in your local branch. We have recently made arrangements with a company called Arena Digital Productions to provide instore advertisements for ourselves and for outside interests to promote themselves on. If you are interested in advertising a Diy or building based product on one of our screens just give us a call and we'll get Arena to get in touch.

We reserve the right to refuse any application that we deem inappropriate without notice.

XX Tuesday 15th May

x Quick Note: BREAKFAST MORNING SUCCESS

x

After the mayhem that was our official Easter promotion we are happy to report that the Easter Breakfast Morning was as well as being a blast, a complete success. All the attending manufactures and customers that we spoke to were extremely happy with the way the four days went. As well as the FREE food we were offering, Seccombes together with Moore Bros. in Isleworth were giving away a £300 bicycle to one lucky winner, which ran for the duration of the month of April, and with Bradstone who kindly offered a Genuine Leicester Tigers rugby shirt.

On 3rd May we were happy to present Mathew Garey with his brand new Specialized mountain bike.
Also attending was Mark, manager at Moore Bros in Isleworth, and Keith and myself from Seccombes.
Mathew was seemed enthusiastic with his new bike and vowed to do some serious cycling on it.

We were also pleased to be able to present Alan Knox with his Leicester Tigers Rugby shirt.
Alan was surprised to win the shirt as he believed that winning prizes was not something that happens to him.
Obviously lady luck was shining on Alan this time.

x Quick Note: POWER TOOLS

x

We are nearing completion of our Isleworth Trade Counter refit. It's only a modest job to increase the amount of stock on show, and more importantly create space for a few new lines. For example we are about to increase our range of Makita Power Tools, and have just brought in a new line of Dewalt Power Tools. Others include Harris brushes, Dulux paints, Stanley, and Owletts Ironmongery.

So pop in at your leisure and take a look for yourself.

XX Saturday 31st December

x Quick Note: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

x

Welcome to 2006. Hope you had a restful break. But as always good things must come to an end. Come the 3rd of January we'll all be back to work fresh for a new year.

Toolbank has reported some very promising sales from their web site and we've had some very good feedback from our customers regarding their experiences with it. Even at this early stage it is good that we are able to provide yet another excellent service for our customers.

On a lighter note our latest poll of a somewhat confused subject has proved that Dave is a little annoying but most of you haven't got the foggiest as to who Dave is. (This is OK by me).

The Management would also like to take the opportunity to grovel a little more about Sundays. Sorry!

x Quick Note: Online shopping at last!

x

Things have been very interesting since Easter. The poll took a lot more hits this time with some amusing results. A recent breakfast morning which started of a bit slow ended as a roaring success, and Bernard are rep almost managed a whole month without getting a parking ticket, until this morning that is.

One important and exciting addition to the website is a new link to our Toolbank associated online web shop.

Use the link above to browse hundreds and hundreds of tools from electrical hand tools to manual tools to make light work of any job.

If however you don't like to order things over the internet just pop in and see us and we sort it out for you.

x Quick Note: Welcome to a new summer season!

x

Well we hope you all had a relaxing Easter break, and for those of you who enjoy a little DIY we hope all the work you started worked out as you expected.

We have just added some new links to the link page two of which are brick companies, where you can browse hundreds of wonderful brick types, sizes, shapes, textures, and colours to your hearts content. I must say a thrilling prospect for anyone who might enjoy that, or a needle in a haystack if you have a specific brick in mind.

An alternative to that is to come in to us and we'll try an match it for you.

x Welcome to 2005: HAPPY 75th ANNIVERSARY!

x

Welcome to 2005, and we sincerely hope you had a restful Christmas break. This year we here are celebrating 75 years of trading history, and during the year we hope to bring you some interesting facts about Seccombe's that have happened over the years. Like This photo taken after Christmas in 1948 of a young Alan Seccombe with his fathers car infront of the farm house still recognisable today at syon lane.

x Christmas Again : We will be open!

x

Firstly with Christmas looming we are posting our opening times over the festive period.

Closed for newyears on the 1st Jan 2005. (hip hip)
open for the new year on 4th Jan 2005.

Our Croydon branch in St. James's Road has just got planning permission to demolish and rebuild a large storage area on its premises, This is interesting because when it is complete it should solve a certain amount on parking problems that some of you will be all too aware of and generate a large amount of space for our stock and some new stock as well.

So as we say good-bye to another year we would all at seccombe's like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

x SECCOMBE WEBSITE: New Website Launch

x

Welcome to our new website. Rip the old one.

Creosote products as some of you may know have been banned by Brussells because of possible cancer warnings wich includes products like Railway sleepers and timber fence posts, have caused some headache for us over the passed year. However all our creosoted products have now been replaced with non cresoted replacements, including Railway Sleepers which we now stock as New Oak Railway Sleepers. Being oak means long life and strength without chemicals.

Our Branch in Croydon in St. James's Road has just completed renovation of is Trade counter and bathroom display area which looks mighty fine, along with helpful staff is well worth a look if you haven't visited them recently.

Recentley we had some problems with the supply of soft sand which I am happy to say has been resolved, and should it be of interest we stock Runfold soft sand.

x NOTE : Goodbye!

With the launch of the new site we have to fondly say fairwell to our old site which has done us well over the years, even though it was a little neglected.

Lost but not forgoten.
