Quick Note: Two New Lorries |
| x |
RFU Twickenham
Rugby Ground

We have now taken delivery of the two new lorries I metioned in
a previous article, and during a recent delivery to Twickenham we
got an opertunity to take a couple of snap shots of our shinny new
truck on the hallowed turf of RFU Twickenham stadium. Not only a
nostalgic moment but it does make a lovely picture for our wall
in the office.
As an update to our recent mail promotions and special offer months
and more recently a Breakfast Morning with Hunter Plastics, we are
still seeing alot of enthusiasum in the marketplace amoungst the
the Builders and our DIY customers alike. This is always good news
and while there is a always a little slow down over Christmas, we
forsee a good upturn for the new year.

Media Hype
Many of the media boffins will have you believe that
we are about to hit a recession. If this were in fact the case then
I'm sure that thing would be a lot more dire than they actually
are. After speaking to many industry individuals, it is agreed that
while sales have slowed and housing market confidence has dropped,
the times are still good and and there is still much to celebrate.
For this reason and because of a recent highways
legislation change we are about to take delivery of two new lorries,
and will we placing orders for more soon. This will in turn allow
us to improve upon our already impeccable free delivery service,
where you the customers will benefit greatly.
Please keep an eye on these pages for upcoming special
offers coming for the month of September.

Thank you all for helping to make
the Breakfast
Mornings week such a hugh success
A double thank you to all the Suppliers and Manufacturers
who attended,
who without their help would not make these events possible.
The whole month of march was a roaring success,
with offers from the likes of Hunter running for the entire month.
The breakfast mornings themselves were received well by our customers
and also by the reps who also made good use of the free food! Although
the weather could have been kinder to us we have experienced an
bit of a one off with Easter being earlier this year and with the
unusually cold weather for spring, but the lure of hot food brought
out the hardy and the not so hardy alike to our special event.
The Breakfast Mornings prize winners are!

Simon who chose a Specialized
Hardrock Sport for his daughter!
(John Seccombe, Simon Flaherty, Chris Moors,
Keith Davies Seccombe)

Joe Finbow who is still undecided
as to which of these many bikes to have!
(John Seccombe, Chris Moors ,Joe Finbow
Burfield, Keith Davies Seccombe)

Mick Moloney who gets the Fleece, level, Umbrella,
and keyring courtesy of Lafarge Cement!

We would like to take this opportunity to once again
thank all our customers for another prosperous year. We have had
this year some of the usual challenges with the likes of competition
from the stores, price increases due to the activities of the Chinese
economy, and who'll forget the complete nationwide stock shortage
of fence panels, and next year will certainly bring it own challenges.
So bring on the new year and we hope you will all be joining us
to face these challenges once again.

Quick Note: BREAKFAST MORNING SUCCESS |
| x |
After the mayhem that was our official Easter promotion
we are happy to report that the Easter Breakfast Morning was as
well as being a blast, a complete success. All the attending manufactures
and customers that we spoke to were extremely happy with the way
the four days went. As well as the FREE food we were offering, Seccombes
together with Moore Bros. in Isleworth were giving away a £300
bicycle to one lucky winner, which ran for the duration of the month
of April, and with Bradstone who kindly offered a Genuine Leicester
Tigers rugby shirt.

On 3rd May we were happy to present Mathew Garey with his brand
new Specialized mountain bike.
Also attending was Mark, manager at Moore Bros in Isleworth, and
Keith and myself from Seccombes.
Mathew was seemed enthusiastic with his new bike and vowed to do
some serious cycling on it.
We were also pleased to be able to present Alan
Knox with his Leicester Tigers Rugby shirt.
Alan was surprised to win the shirt as he believed that winning
prizes was not something that happens to him.
Obviously lady luck was shining on Alan this time.

and have just brought in a new line of Dewalt Power Tools. Others
include Harris brushes, Dulux paints, Stanley, and Owletts Ironmongery.
So pop in at your leisure and take a look for yourself.

Quick Note: Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
|

Welcome to 2006. Hope you had a restful break. But as always good
things must come to an end. Come the 3rd of January we'll all be
back to work fresh for a new year.
Toolbank has reported some very promising sales from their web
site and we've had some very good feedback from our customers regarding
their experiences with it. Even at this early stage it is good that
we are able to provide yet another excellent service for our customers.
On a lighter note our latest poll of a somewhat confused subject
has proved that Dave is a little annoying but most of you haven't
got the foggiest as to who Dave is. (This is OK by me).
The Management would also like to take the opportunity to grovel
a little more about Sundays. Sorry!

Quick Note: Welcome to a new summer season! |

Well we hope you all had a relaxing Easter break, and for those
of you who enjoy a little DIY we hope all the work you started worked
out as you expected.
We have just added some new links to the link page two of which
are brick companies, where you can browse hundreds of wonderful
brick types, sizes, shapes, textures, and colours to your hearts
content. I must say a thrilling prospect for anyone who might enjoy
that, or a needle in a haystack if you have a specific brick in
mind.
An alternative to that is to come in to us and we'll try an match
it for you.
